Heritages in Jeollabukdo

Mireuksaji Seoktap Stone Pagoda
It is the Korean first stone pagoda made with granitic stones. It is called the Mireuksaji Seoktap(stone pagoda) because it is located inside of Mireuksaji where the legend about King Moo and Princess Seonhwa
has been handed down generation after generation. At first, it was a seven story and 20 m high pagoda but only six-story still remains.

Pansori, Epic chant
It is a dramatic story-singing performed by one singer and one drummer. It started from the Jeollado province during the middle of the Joseon Dynasty. Different vocalizations and songs have developed by
southern regions of the Korean peninsula. Most pansori songs are about the life of the commoners and
values.
