Dae Jo-young (2006)

In the 7th century, Goguryeo fell.
Dae Jo-young gathered Goguryeo refugees and descendants, and founded Balhae. 

He recovered Goguryeo territories and revived the lost glory of Goguryeo. 

He was born in the midst of turmoil after the fall of Goguryeo.

His strong charisma and exceptional leadership led him to become the founder of a new kingdom, Balhae (reign: 698~719).

Kim Su-ro (2010)

Kim Su-ro founded Gaya, which was known as the kingdom of iron.

Wang Geon was a leader who loved peace and people. 

He accepted Balhae refugees as people of the same blood, and peacefully took over control of Silla.

Taejo Wang Geon was a humble leader from the Eastern country of courtesy and respect.

His humble spirit has been passed down to the Korean stars of the 21st century.

Daejanggeum (2003)
Born into the lower class and with a strong will, Janggeum lived a turbulent but fascinating life.
She entered the palace at age 10, and became the best chef in the palace.
However, due to vicious slander, she was demoted to slave status and expelled from the palace.

Janggeum learned medicine and returned to the palace as a physician. She exceeded all male doctors and became the king’s main doctor, which was the first in Joseon history.
